Heres the engine in and it looks like the ride is going to be perfekt! Now the rear needs a make over.
Here is the oily 265" Chevy v8 going in, no it didn't fit the engine mounts on the Camaro subframe.

Saturday 15 August 2009

I mounted the steeringbox and I't looks very ugly. Need a steering rack for it.
Here it's mounted to the chassis.

Wednesday 12 August 2009

Here it is after 2 hours cutting and drilling. 4" narrowed and adjusters fitted.
Needs som tig welding for the adjusters, then it's ready to be fitted on the chassis.
It's realy nice working with new and clean parts, love it!
Why I'm using a beam with out towers is that I don't like the "bending" the shocks do to the aluminum beam. The shocks will be mounted to the chassis.
Took it apart to make it narrow, 4" is ok I think.
Here is the front beam I'm going to use.
It is a aluminum front beam without towers.

Yes, there is the sexy body of a 57 lowlight Ghia.
It's a nice summerday in Sweden.
Here it is, my chassis from mr Ron Lummus.
It's a 1010 chassis: Type 1 Ghia, for king & linkpin front end.

Start your engines!

This pic that I found on the net made me want one to!
It's a racecar with a lowlight ghia 56-59 body (sexy).
So what's the best thing to do if not to build one!
When a friend orderd a drag chassis from Ron Lummus Racing in Ca USA for his Notchback (VW 1500s) I didn't sleep well for a long time, I wanted one to!
Well, I have a 57 Ghia to start with and YES I orderd a chassis from mr Ron Lummus.
